Sean Kaltenbach is a licensed New Mexico builder (License #368104) specializing in adobe, compressed earth block and rammed earth construction.  Related specialties include custom finishes such as lime, earth and clay plastering as well as artistry in adobe that includes striking fireplaces, unique bancos, and architecturally interesting exposed adobe walls.

Sean is heavily involved in every aspect of the construction process, from pre-design and site selection through management of all aspects of the building process  His extensive experience also includes finance, architecture, interior design, landscaping, property management, and title insurance.  Sean has a highly qualified crew as well as agreements with proven subcontractors for specialty tasks.

Sean is a member of The Earthbuilders' Guild and is often called on for advice or instruction in the specialized techniques and skills of earthen construction.  He is a second generation New Mexico buider with a deep dedication to sustainable homes.  He has led or participated significantly in the building of more than 60 homes in Santa Fe, Las Campanas, Las Cruces, Mesilla, Lake Valley, Cochiti Lake, and Quemado.
